After 5: Top of the Point, West Palm Beach

August 5th, 2011 · 1 Comment

Here’s a gorgeous spot for a drink any day – but particularly on a summer afternoon when the sunset is glowing.

Up high, on top of Phillip’s Point on Flagler in West Palm Beach, the Top of the Point is The Breakers club room at lunch (members only), and transforms to a public dining area for dinner and drinks.

Happy hour has the best view in the county, and great nibbles, too  Р$1 oysters and shrimps, along with a cute bar menu, with great drinks (Sancerre is nice) and friendly staff.

Don’t miss it – valet the car, too – they validate it for you upstairs.

Closest thing we have to the Rainbow Room, my other favorite spot up high.

I went there for happy hour a few weeks ago and it was quite nice, though for a time we felt neglected by our server.
