Cookie bakers – get busy! Pull out those award winning cookie recipes and bake up your best for the Christmas in Yesteryear Village Cookie Contest at the South Florida Fairgrounds.
I’m one of the judges and am looking forward to sampling all the delicious cookies coming in.
The contest rules
Rules are simple: For each entry, contestants are to bake 1 dozen cookies and package them in a disposable container (sorry: no containers will be returned). Tape the recipe to the top and include your name, address, phone and email on the recipe.
Bring or deliver your cookies to the sign-in desk at the Yesteryear Village at the Fairgrounds, Dec. 7, between 5:30-7 p.m. The cookies will be judged and winners announced at 8:30 p.m.
You have several chances to win – and can enter as many cookies in any category as you choose (but each one must have a separate entry form and recipe attached with name, address and phone). Prizes of cookbooks, South Florida Fair tickets, aprons and more will be awarded to winners in these categories:
- Most Creative
- Best Tasting
- Most Festive
- Biggest Cookie
- Best from Yesteryear Period- 1895-1945
- Best Made by a South Florida Fair Volunteer
