Back on Florida Time

It’s an adjustment to switch from Pacific to Atlantic coast time, but give me a day.

I still have to report on Houston, where red meat rules this red state. Then we’ll get to California…food’s better and the weather nicer, but people were just as friendly in Houston as they were on the West Coast.┬áLove those Texans, who are so proud of their big state.

Here at home:

There’s a Halloween party tonight. Wednesday, (7-10 p.m.) where you can get R.I.P.’ped — wear a costume and drink some special potions they’re pouring and chow on “ghoulish” fare. A DJ will spin tunes. It’s at Boca Raton Life Time Athletic Club, 1499 Yamato Road in Boca. A limited number can fit in, so call the Gab Group, the organizers, at (561) 750-3500 if you want in. (It’s free.)

Just when you get back on “regular” schedule, you’ll have to fall back an hour for Daylight Saving Time!

Looking forward to seeing more about Houston, and any pics from California.

I was in Las Vegas for Halloween and there were plenty of people “R.I.P. – ped” at my hotel, and probably every other area hotel too.

Godiva was offering a dark chocolate dipped strawberry with a long tail shaped like a ghost and dotted with white chocolate eyes and a mouth… the perfect Halloween treat!
