EatBeat: Casa Mia Opens in Jupiter – from Roberto of Ocean Grill

September 24th, 2010 · No Comments

Now open in its first week, in the old Marc’s Chophouse locale at Fisherman’s Wharf, Casa Mia is the newest from Roberto Cavaliere and his partner, Stefano Paggetti.

Cavaliere, most recently from the Ocean Grill on PGA Boulevard, calls this “rustic trattoria style, northern Italian cuisine.” They’ve decorated to make it look like a Tuscan villa, with textured walls, a fountain outdoors and plants everywhere, including on the patio.

Specialties include a tagliatelle with wild boar ragu, whole grilled branzino, salt-crusted sea bass served tableside, and wood-fired Neopolitan pizzas. There are a number of appetizers, and a few desserts.

He’s purposefully kept prices reasonable to stay in line with the economy. “Nothing is more than $20 on the menu. We have a lot of wines $20 and under – and good ones, too – I’ve tasted them all,” he said. “I wanted to make somewhere you can go and get a bite to eat and a good glass of wine and get out for $20.”
