Tonight at the City Lights for Life event at Palm Beach Motorcars, a number of restaurants and chefs will be plating their tasty dishes for partiers.
Among the foods to be served will be steak sandwiches from Ruth’s Chris Steak House, grouper cheeks with fermented black bean sauce, from Chef Don Sedivy of the American Culinary Federation, bay scallops and heirloom tomato risotto from Cafe Chardonnay, beets and goat cheese salad, from Bistro 1001, savory streudel with mushroom gravy from Chef Jason Boekholder, also of the ACF, grilled chicken and muhammara (walnut and red pepper tapenade) from Leila, and desserts from Carrie’s Cake.
The event organizers also have put together a list of notable silent auction packages – a foursome for golf at the Loxahatchee Club, a half-day fishing charter with Capt. Joe, a mountain getaway in North Carolina with golf, a Palm Beach Driving Club experience in a SR-3 race car, a two-night stay at the Brazilian Court and more.
The 5th annual party is a fundraiser for the Cancer Alliance of Help and Hope – an organization that provides information and financial resources to cancer patients and their families. A fashion show, luxury car display and live entertainment, as well as drinks and foods, are part of the event. Tickets are available online ($40) or at the door ($50.)
