Here’s a way to celebrate beer month that leads into Oktoberfest — try some new craft beers.
And here’s how to try to them without killing the budget: Get up to the sale at Cooks in Abacoa Town Center in Jupiter (if you’ve been to Jupiter’s Brewfest, it’s on Main Street alongside of the site). They have beer dinners and pizza nights with craft brews – but also sell these individual quality beers here by the six-pack.
Small, hand-picked selection
All of the 44 kinds they offer are $2 each for the 12 oz., or $4 for the 22-ounce beers.
Breweries represented include Avery, Dogfish Head, Ayinger, Bellfast Bay, Boulder, Left Hand, Native,, Penn, Shipyard, and a Westmalle Trappist Dubbel. There are pale ales, pilsners, stouts, lagers, porters, Belgian wheats and others.
You can sit at the Alley Pub bar (open 4 – 11 p.m.) and quaff, and maybe order a nibble (gourmet mac & cheese – or brats and kraut minis, among others) to go with them, or buy the beer “to-go.”
It’s through today only; get ”hopping.”
