Things won’t be real quiet at Quiet Waters Park this weekend, with the 2nd Annual Deerfield Beach Wine and Food Festival coming to town. The fest is a mix of food and wine sampling, chef demos and music from live bands in the park.
The two-day event starts with a three-course VIP “Dinner Under the Stars” Friday night (sorry – it’s officially sold out; check for cancellations).
For more casual fest-goers, a Grand Tasting Launch Party, with beer, wine and spirits, as well as live local entertainment, will kick off the weekend.
Saturday morning, the Jazz Blues Brunch includes breakfast dishes and some chef specialties, along with Champagne, bloody Marys and mimosas to kick off the day. It’s followed by the Grand Tasting that involves chefs and their foods from the tri-county area.
Interact with chefs at cooking demos
Cooking demonstrations along “Kitchen Alley” include interactive demos from chefs Roy Villacrusis of Asiatic Restaurant Group; Jorge Fernandez of The Spaniard; Alex Forsythe of Streamlined Cuisine; Jorge Monte of Chef George Catering; Annette Watkins, of Cooking Without Looking; and Lenore Nolan Ryan of Lenore Nolan Ryan Cooking School and Catering.
Sensory tasting classes for wine enthusiasts will be hosted by the festival sommelier. Also nearby is a garden market where fresh produce and gourmet items can be bought, and a separate shopping bazaar for goods and local services.
Tickets are priced for individual events, with savings for buying online.
