EatBeat: Gratitude Tuesdays Sell Out on Mondays – Sign Up Early for $5 Dinner

December 6th, 2010 · No Comments

Boynton Beach has one of the most active green market, incubator kitchens and community cafe programs going. On Tuesdays, this lively group puts on “Gratitude Tuesday” dinners – thanking the community for its support.

For $5 you get a meal served family-style, with a set menu. This week, for instance, it’s Mexican chicken and yellow rice with carrots and peas, a chicken tamale with green chiles, and flan for dessert. Tea is included. Reservations are highly suggested.

If you’re not fond of the dishes on the set menu, Rosaline and Tomas, who prepare dinners for the center, also will be serving from their a la carte menu.

Diners are asked for $5 each, but you can pay more – or whatever you can. Bring canned foods for the food pantry and “give back,” if possible.

Organic and local produce are sold on site at the produce market, with a deli, frozen food section with sauces and soups, and bakery items available from the co-op members daily.
