Online tickets to the American Lung Association’s Food and Wine Experience at Legacy Place end Wednesday at midnight – you’ve got two days to get in on them. The fundraising event is Thursday, April 26, from 7-9 p.m.
The event is a street party dine-around with foods, wine and beer set in Palm Beach Garden’s Legacy Place. Streets are closed off for the outdoor fling, for dancing to the live bands.
A number of new restaurants will be bringing food to this year’s party, including 51 Supper Club and Lounge, Cod and Capers Seafood, Holy Smokes American Bistro, Prosecco Cafe and the Sharkbite Grill.
Other restaurants and food sites dishing up samples include Anthony’s Coal Fired Pizza, Bagel Boyz, Big Al’s Steaks, Bonefish Grill, Cabo Flats Cantina & Tequila Bar, Café Chardonnay, Crème de la Crème, Field of Greens, Figs by Todd English, Gelato Grotto, Havana, Hollywood Cupcake, HoneyBaked Ham Co., Ironwood Steak Seafood, Jumby Bay Island Grill, the Marriott PGA, Mondo’s American Bistro, Paella Grill Catering, Pita Grill, Publix GreenWise Cafe, Russell’s Blue Water Grill, Ruth’s Crhis Steak House, Sal’s Italian Ristorante, Talay Thai, The Capital Grille, Tijuana Flats, and TooJay’s.
Total Wine and Spirits is sponsoring the event.
New pair-up with designated driver program
New this year is a match-up with the organization Be My DD (designated driver). It’s a new service that provides professional drivers for your vehicle, so you get a ride home in your own car and there’s no doubling back for your car after an event. To sign up for a DD, go to bemydd.com. I’m a huge supporter of any designated drivers, and this program gets my support. It’s affordable and reliable – but more important, keeps everyone safe. (Good for the elderly needing medical transportation, businesses or weddings and event chauffeurs, too.)
Mo and Sally from Kool 105.5 and Virginia from Wild 95.5 will be on hand to entertain. Replay! will perform.
VIP ticketholders get in a half hour early and get admission to the VIP lounge, with drinks from Grey Goose Vodka, and food from the Capital Grille, plus a goody bag.
Note: Along with Dr. Joseph and Shannon Giaimo, I’m one of the honorary chairs for the event.
