EatBeat: Mark Militello to Open Cabo Blue Upscale Mexican in Deerfield

January 19th, 2011 · 3 Comments

Chef Mark Militello

Chef Mark Militello – longtime South Florida restaurateur and most recently of Trina in Fort Lauderdale, said he will open Cabo Blue – a Grill and Tequilla Bar in Deerfield “in a few weeks.”

It’s located on the property of the new Wyndham Deerfield Beach Resort directly on the ocean. “It’s a beautiful space with all windows overlooking the ocean.”

The chef is still working on a menu, but it will be authentic Mexican fare. “No burritos,” he said. “There will be tons of tacos – we’re thinking of doing a taco cart since we’re right next to the pier on the ocean. Tons of people walk by and it would be like a street cart.”

Sounds great! I just noticed the Wyndham a couple of days ago when we were at the Whale’s Rib. Can’t wait to try it out.
