Opening within the month are three newcomers to Downtown at the Gardens, the mall that continues to re-bloom under new management and new marketing agencies.
Paris in Town Le Bistro will be larger than the little Paris in Town Le Cafe that’s held down the southeast corner of PGA and U.S. 1 for some time. Same family is behind it, Parisians Beni and Diane Himmich. If you know Paris bistro favs, you’ll recognize croque moinseur, coq au vin, and boeuf bourguignon. They’re located southeast of the carousel and will serve lunch and dinner.
51 Supper Club and Lounge is supposed to be a white-glove supper club heavily tied to New Yorkers’ memories, with jacketed servers and the like, running foods that are “inspired by Old World traditions.” They’ll be revised, they say, for today’s diners. Their Facebook page notes that Chef Armand Vanderstigchel’s menu will include “foods which take patrons on a European trip. … (he) plans to utilize comfort foods for many people who grew up in the Northeast U.S.” Music’s in a piano lounge, reminiscent of the days of live performers like the swinging Bobby Darin and Sinatra and his pack. Doors are scheduled to open June 9.
Another New York transplant is Grimaldi’s Pizza. Go here to read what we’ve already said about them and the other newly opened spot, Dirty Martini.
Downtown at the Gardens is at 11701 Victoria Gardens Ave., Palm Beach Gardens.
