Crab cakes are the star of the menu at the 2012 Palm Beaches Crab Cake Cook-off.
Saturday night’s premiere Crab Cake Cook-off will be a crabby showdown among 11 restaurants competing for the Top Chef of Crab Cakedom. The event benefits the Parent-Child Center, part of the Community Partnership Group, serving children and families facing life-changing physical and mental challenges in Palm Beach County.
Participants get to eat crab cakes and taste the wines and beers served, and get in on prize drawings. Entertainment is planned throughout the night.
Restaurants and cooks competing are: Cafe Joshua, Carrabba’s West Palm Beach, Cod and Capers Seafood, Dixie Bar and Grill, Guanabanas, HogSnappers, John G’s, Palm Beach Ale House, Paradiso Ristorante, Riggins Crab House, and The Conch and Crab.
The Cook-Off is from 6:30 to 9 p.m. in the Lake Pavilion at Flagler Drive and Clematis St. Tickets are $55 for one or $100 a couple.
