EatBeat: Short Notice, But a Free Lunch at Delray’s Il Bacio Today

April 22nd, 2009 · No Comments

Late breaking deal: Today (April 22)  you can get in on a free “executive lunch” at the new Il Bacio restaurant in Delray. It was formerly City Limits, located behind Vic & Angelo’s off Atlantic Avenue at the tracks.

The space was recently torn apart and reassembled into what the publicist describes as very “Shore Club” with outdoor cabanas, a chic mod interior and a tapas menu.

The executive chef, Peter Masiello, is formerly of Bova Ristorante in Boca Raton. Live entertainment will be part of the venue that puts this one into the eater-tainment category.

Make reservations immediately for the free lunch – there may be a few spots left, but no guarantees. The deal does NOT include tax, tip or drinks. They open officially May 6.

New enoteca menu at City Cellar

City Cellar, at the top of the escalators in CityPlace, has a new menu — based on that of Italy’s wine bars, or enotecas. A wide variety of appetizers is $6.95 and include veal meatballs roated in marinara with whipped ricotta, mussels oreganata in roasted garlic-tomato brodo; artichoke hearts, baked with shallots, walnuts, arugula and balsamic vinaigrette. Entrees, $19.95, include Shrimp parmigiana, risotto alla pollo, bucatini Toscano and more.

Pair up an entree and an app Sunday through Thursday, and get a free dessert and beverage for $29.95.
