EatBeat: Wild Olives Closed in Boca; Supposed to Become Todd English P.U.B. Next Door

July 1st, 2011 · No Comments

Todd English PUB in Vegas

Boca’s Wild Olives, one of two casual Italian spots that celeb chef Todd English put his name on in Palm Beach County, has closed. CityPlace’s version closed months ago.

At the Boca Town Center location, however, English is slated to reopen next door – with a different concept.

Todd English

Todd English’s P.U.B. (Public Urban Bar) goes decidedly Brit in flavor – with a menu featuring his take on fish and chips, pot pies, bangers and mash – and a host of craft beers on tap as well as wines and specialty cocktails. It will follow the concept English launched in Las Vegas.

Games at the pub will include the “beat the glass” – drink a pint of beer and slam the glass down in 7 seconds and the beer’s free; Beer Pong, and magnetic darts.

No information available just yet on when it will open. Figs, the chef’s small pizzeria in The Gardens mall Macy’s, remains open.
