EatBeat: Food, Wine and Art in Lake Worth

October 2nd, 2008 · 1 Comment

Set your tasting GPS to Lake Worth, where downtown tonight next to the Library, more than 40 restaurants from our area will be offering tastings, along with wines. The 12th Annual Food, Wine and Art Experience (formerly known as Food Is Art) is a terrific chance to mix and mingle and enjoy some good food and check out local artists.

Names you know: Cafe Chardonnay, Forte di Asprinio, Caffe Luna Rosa, John Bull English Pub and hometown fav, John G’s will be participating, and some of the ones you may not have heard of will be there, giving you a sample of their cuisines: Blue Kabana, Dada, Havana Hideout, Wild Orchids Cafe, and Joven Italian Restaurant. Sweet treats will come from Creme de la Creme Gourmet Cakes and Pastries, Kilwin’s Ice Cream, Ingo Chocolatier and Hoffman’s Chocolates.

It’s a lot of action for a mere $50 — and the money is tax-deductible since it goes to the American Lung Association.

Free parking is in lots across from the Post Office on Lucerne, or south of Lake Avenue between J and M streets, plus there’s free street parking.

Food, Wine and Art Experience

  • Lake Worth Cultural Center at M Street between Lake and Lucerne Avenues, Lake Worth

Sorry that I missed this event. Sounds like my kind of fun!

Years ago, my family and I were at Epcot during a “taste of the nations” type of event where every country offered native foods. Some of it was incredible, and some so-so. BUT, it was a blast and everyone seemed to compare food stories of one kind or another.
