I sent my friend Betsy Cohen, dessert blogger at DessertsRequired.com down to try Yardbird in Miami. Yardbird is a tern for a chicken in the South – the US region that chef Jeff McInnis calls home. A sign over the door that sums it up:
Her report is glowing – about both food and desserts.

Jan, I am a regular reader of yours and am now delighted to have been introduced to Betsy Cohen’s dessertsrequired.com. First of all her review is beautifully written and between your accolades and hers, I can’t wait to go there. In addition to that I am very impressed with her recipes. I am not noted for my baking prowess and I strongly suspect that between her step by step photos and explicit directions, there might be hope for me. Thank you for introducing me to a wonderful restaurant as well as to Betsy Cohen. Love what you write. Always look forward to reading what you have to say.

Jan, thank you so much for referring us to an amazing Dessert website and for in turn introducing us to a restaurant that we had not heard of before. When we head back to Florida in the Fall, it will be a top priority on our list. Your site is, always, a joy to read. Thank you

Restaurant sounds incredible as do the recipes on the dessertsrequired website. Can’t wait to try both.
