Meatloaf Recipe from Max’s Grille, and a Carrot Cake Recipe Reminiscent of J.Alexander’s

Two reader favorites are in my column in today’s Sun Sentinel: a meatloaf recipe, this one from Max’s Grille in Boca – one of their most requested recipes; and a copy cat recipe that’s will remind you of the dense, moist carrot cake served at J.Alexander’s.

Both are comfort foods to the hilt — some mom is smiling from somewhere on these. The meatloaf makes great leftover sandwiches, and the carrot cake is super warm, right out of the oven, unfrosted – with a cup of hot tea.

Those and dozens of other recipes are in today’s Sun Sentinel food section – check it out.
