Strawberries are available at local U-picks through March and into April.
Today’s U-pick farms offer what one farmer calls “agri-tainment.” There are tractor and hay rides, honeybee lessons and more offered to both educate kids and their parents about food, and attract them to a working farm.
I profile several farms in my Sun Sentinel story, and give a list of active farms where you can go and pick your own produce.
Check it out here at the Sun Sentinel’s food page.
