Here’s a capital idea for closing bags! Yet another use for a plastic bottle. The caps often can’t be recycled (colored ones, especially). Put them to use resealing bags.
Cut off the top of a plastic bottle about 2 inches from the top. Slip this over the top of a bag. Fold the bag over the top of the bottle and seal it with the cap. Voila!
More: Cut the top threaded ring off all your bottles and save the cap and ring – these would work on cereal bags, chip and bean bags, and so on. Large-mouth juice bottles work great for bigger bags.
Even more: Cut the bottom off the rest of the bottle and use the resulting cone as a funnel.
Keep plastic bottles out of our landfills – recycle every one!
