Sexy but Skinny Cocktails from Morton’s

Sharing some cocktails the Morton Steakhouse folks sent along – these are the skinny drinks served at their bars. All made with low-cal ingredients, and hold up flavor-wise with their counterparts. Don’t miss their bar menu, either – great for Happy Hour nibbles and priced right!

They use preferred brands of liquor and other bar ingredients; some are specific to these drinks. Use what you prefer; find them at places like Total Wine and Spirits, ABC

Skynny Blood Orange Cosmo

  • 1.25 oz Skyy Blood Orange Vodka
  •  1 oz Ty Ku Soju – see note
  • .5 oz Monin Sugar-Free Triple Sec
  •  .5 oz lime juice, freshly squeezed
  •  1 oz cranberry juice
  • Glass: Martini

Shake ingredients 25 times with ice. Strain into a martini glass.

Garnish: Orange slice on rim.’

Makes 1 drink.

Ty Ku Soju is a liquor from Korea that is a low-calorie alternative to vodka.

 

Antioxidant Me

Antioxidant Me

  • 1.5 oz Absolut Açai Vodka
  • .5 oz Monin Superfruit Puree (well shaken)
  • 1 oz Pom Pomegranate Juice
  • .5 oz lime juice, freshly squeezed
  • Glass: Martini

Shake ingredients 25 times with ice. Strain into a martini glass.

Garnish: 2 raspberries on a pick placed inside the glass.

Makes 1 drink.

 

Lean and Green

Lean and Green

  • 1.5 oz Ty Ku Soju
  • .5 Monin agave nectar
  • 1.5 oz lime juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 oz. soda water
  • 10 mint leaves
  • Glass: Champagne

Shake ingredients 25 times with ice. Double strain into a Champagne flute.

Garnish: Small cucumber wheel (1/4” thick) on rim.

Makes 1 drink.

The Red Velvet

  • 2 oz. Lindemans Framboise Lambic
  • 4 oz. Lunetta Prosecco
  • .5 oz Chambord
  • Glass: Champagne

Roll ingredients in Boston Shaker with ice and strain into Champagne flute.

Garnish: 1 raspberry on clear pick over the top. Twist lemon twist over drink and discard twist. Should be served with a foam cap.

Makes 1 drink.

Skinny Rita

  • 1.75 oz Patrón Silver Tequila
  • 1 oz Monin Agave Nectar
  • .5 oz lime juice, freshly squeezed
  •  .5 oz lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • Glass: Martini

Shake ingredients 25 times with ice. Strain into a martini glass.

Garnish: Lime wedge.

Makes 1 drink.

    Morton’s also does a nice happy hour.
