I’m a sucker for Ace of Cakes — that TV show about cake decorating set in Baltimore. It’s because I dream of decorating cakes like that a lot, and have done a fair share of weird and fun cakes. They’re very tough to execute, make no mistake.
But every baker has a bad day. Some bakers have nothing BUT bad days — and greatly misrepresent their skills.
Take a look at this web site, called CakeWrecks — full of pro Cakes That Went Horribly Wrong.
Here’s my favorite, the one that kicked it off. Directions to the baker:
Write on it: “Best Wishes Suzanne” and underneath that, “We Will Miss You.”

oh my gosh, this site is a riot! the ‘baby’ cake was impressive in terms of the design and coloring but rather freaky! yikes, not sure I could eat a piece of that cake.
