EatBeat: Palm Beach Gardens Greenmarket Stays at STORE Through September

August 6th, 2013 · 5 Comments

GreenMarket_2It’s hot – too hot for the Palm Beach Gardens Greenmarket vendors and buyers to be set up on in the parking lots of the city complex.

Instead, the organizers for the weekly city greenmarket have decided to keep the mart under cover at its summer locale for another month.

Through September, find the vendors with produce, organics, craft items and more at STORE Self-Storage on Military Trail just north of PGA Boulevard – a few blocks from the normal site. The market is held on Sundays and is free to the public.

GREEN TIP: Bring your own shopping bags.

Palm Beach Gardens Greenmarket at STORE Self-Storage

  • 11010 N.  Military Trail, Palm Beach Gardens
  • Times: Sundays, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • Free market; parking behind CVS drug store.

If you don’t have a recylable shopping bag, Store Self Storage hands one out to every patron! I frequent most green markets in the area and this little gem seems to have all the best vendors combined in one place.

Correction: Store Self Storage is next to CVS (not Walgreens) across the street from the Garden Square Publix.

The Gardens GreenMarket is the only market that stayed open during the summer. Congrats, PBG! Good to see that you are serving the year-round residents of our community!

CVS is correct, Pamela; I fixed this in copy. There are a few other markets around – in Jupiter, on Friday nights under the bridge at Riverwalk is a small market. I believe there’s one in Boca, too. But as most know, heat is an issue in South Florida, not to mention lack of products as some sellers move north and farms rest soils.

I just love places like this with the kind of open air feel and multiple locals displaying their goods. We are on the west coast in Southern California, though have a Thursday night street fair, that sounds similar. We lived in Florida, but that was almost 20 yrs. ago. Would love to go back.

Your entire website is fascinating. I am usually not so drawn to sites that feature cooking, restaurants and the likes, normally leaving that to my girlfriend, though found your website to be highly engaging for both women and men. Great job! Regards, Tripper J
