Editor’s Note:

I took a brief vacation but am back. Hope your Memorial Day foods were tasty and you had a good time with family or friends. I also hope you took a few minutes to think about those people who weren’t able to celebrate because they were busy working to provide the freedom we have to party. We take our basic privileges for granted, while only 60 miles southeast of my shoreline, there are people literally dying to get here to escape dictatorship and lack of everyday freedoms – like being able to shop at a grocery store without rationing. We shouldn’t lose sight of that.

Fixing things

jan_at_berns_edited-1I listen to you readers carefully — and many of you were seriously frustrated having to register and sign in just to leave a comment here.

I was frustrated as well – so I had my webmaster kill off that requirement. Of couse, I still have the option to weed out untoward repartee — so please save all your meanspirited, libelous stuff for Rush Limbaugh’s blog. He has lots more money to defend himself than I do, and crazy food talk might serve to amuse him in his free time.

Speak Up!

So now: Just comment! You still have to fill in a name that will appear to others who read it, but you can call yourself Capt. Crunch or Rosy Spoonbill if you want – I alone will know who you are if you choose to go anon. Since this is a fairly innocuous site, you’re pretty safe if you want to use your real name. You still can’t be spammed.

Hope this will inspire some of you to go back and read previous issues, and leave your opinion on past topics, such as the one about How Many Chances Does a Restaurant Get? or tell me what you think about the Salsa Chicken recipe.

If you have any other problems with my site, you can always contact me by clicking the CONTACT button on the homepage. It shoots emails directly to me – and I personally answer them. There’s no middleman on my site.

And you can always get help with your cooking or restaurant questions by calling my dedicated help line. Leave your name, number and question and it drops immediately into my phone mail.  I will answer you by phone, usually within the hour. Put the number in your phone for easy access: 561-340-0820 – Jan Norris’ Help Line.

Thanks for reading JanNorris.com as I swing for my 10th month doing this thing. I welcome your suggestions, comments and critiques as I go along. I’m still enjoying it, and hope you are, too.

I am really loving the theme/design of your blog.
Do you ever run into any internet browser compatibility problems?
A small number of my blog audience have complained about my blog
not working correctly in Explorer but looks great in Safari.
Do you have any suggestions to help fix this issue?
