Park Avenue (PA) BBQ Grille has a pretty good Brunswick stew, even without the traditional okra. This well known Georgia recipe includes barbecue pork and beef and smoked chicken. Find the recipe in my column today in the Sun Sentinel.

A reader wanted the Ranch dressing recipe from The Cheesecake Factory. I could only offer them a substitute, and explain that the big chains seldom give out recipes – especially for food they can make money on. The goal is to get you to eat there, of course. You can buy for Ranch dressing from them for $5.95 (plus tax) a pint.

Thanks Jan! We’re in Puerto Rico with old friends, and got an email from a Boca friend who’d like to come for dinner when I make it. I went on the S-S site and read it on my iPhone. I’m enjoying reading your blog! So thanks again!!
