Tanks at Due South Brewery, Boynton Beach
Palm Beach County may one day be a tasty stop for those on a craft beer trail. Due South Brewery in Boynton Beach is joining with Slow Foods to offer a brewery tour and tasting of eight of its brews Saturday, Sept. 22.
It’s a good initiation for those who want a detailed look at craft brewing and understanding beer that’s crafted as a chef would make food.
The food truck, Stocked and Loaded, will be on hand with a great menu of offerings to pair with beers. (State laws prohibit selling food at the brewery, so most breweries have outside companies that provide noshes for their guests.) Bring cash if you come for foods like green gator chili with cornbread ($5), a Vietnamese banh mi with cucumber salad ($10), “inferno burger” with yucca fries – or a classic burger ($10), chicken flatbread with hummus, tzatziki and a Greek salad ($9).
