Beer and/or burger lovers – this is your chance. PGA National Resort in Palm Beach Gardens will host several local chefs cooking burgers, and brewers will pour more than 50 craft beers at the inaugural Craft Beer Festival and Burger Bash Saturday, June 16.
Those cooking some form of burgers include Cha Cha’s, Nick and Johnnie’s, CG Burger, Burger Bar, Roxy’s Pub, Wine Dive, Chuck Burger Joint, Cantina Laredo, Capital Grille, III Forks, Tabica Grill, Brewzzi’s, The Corner Cafe, Shark Bite Grille, Talay Thai and Conch and Crab.
Students from Lincoln Culinary Institute will be competing in an Amateur Burger Chef contest on site.
Microbrews from Florida, including Monk in the Trunk, Tequesta Brewing Co., and others, are among those offered as 2-ounce pours for sampling.
A.J.’s Beer City will be giving a home-brewing demonstration. Other entertainment includes radio personalities on site – Mo and Sally, Virginia and Jay and Andy Preston will entertain.
Tickets are $35 in advance; $40 at the door. A special room rate at PGA National Resort, for $99 a night, is available for June 16.
