
Sausage and peppers
The huge festival known as Feast of Little Italy – an homage to the San Gennaro Festival of New York City’s Little Italy, is going on this weekend at Abacoa, Jupiter. It’s celebrating its 8th year here, dishing out all things Italian to huge crowds.
Talk about food! It’s all here – pastas, pizzas, sausage and peppers – olive oils, sauces, and more. There’s a pizza eating contest, a lasagna-eating contest and more – with all the entertainment and booths and vendors that go along with this fest.
Admission is only $5; parking is free. Foods and any trinkets, of course, are on your own dime. Cooking demos are at noon, 2 4 and 6 p.m,. today; noon, 2 and 4 p.m. Sunday. Banfi wine tastings are at 3, 5 and 7 p.m,. today; 1 and 3 p.m. Sunday. Other seminars and more are slated – check the many boards and programs as you enter to find out where they take place within the venue.
