Coming out party

Tonight, from 5-7 p.m., get over to City Cellar in CityPlace, where chef David Hagan will sign his May calendar page for his new “food groupies.” Look for other parties upcoming to feature other chefs and their foods.

The calendar, produced by Taylor Morgan of South Florida Dines, will be sold at various shops around town, and in the restaurants featured, but you can check back here shortly for a code to enter and click on at my site and save with free shipping through the end of the month.

Bonus prizes

In the back of a select few calendars, there’s the Red Ticket. Find it and win one of a number of prizes, including free tickets to the 2011 Honda Classic, a cruise to the Bahamas, or a trip to Las Vegas or New Orleans, for two. In all, seven prizes worth up to $1000 will be awarded.

Ten percent of the calendar sales benefit the Big Heart Brigade, a program that provides meals to the needy during the holidays.
