Times have changed -and not for the better with American diets.
Mother Jones has published a look at how the nation’s population spends its grocery money, compared to 1982. It’s sobering to learn that the bulk of food dollars spent now go to processed foods.
With all the interest and talk about fresh foods, eating from the garden, adding vegetables and fruits in the diet, we’re still spending mega-bucks on processed foods.
How the costs for these foods have changed since the early ’80s also is eye-opening.
