Localecopia – Meet the People Who Produce Local Food Monday

November 7th, 2010 · 1 Comment

Localecopia will hold another “Meet & Greet” Monday for chefs, hospitality workers, and the public to come and learn about local food producers.

Get a taste of beef jerky, mango fruit leather, grass-fed beef, ostrich meat, quail eggs and other unique products that local ranchers and growers are displaying.

The group that promotes local, sustainable food production, started by Rick Hawkins and Geoff Sagrans, from The Breakers staff, has been growing. Its mission is to unite chefs, food producers and diners from the area all in one group under an educational umbrella.

There’s still room to display your foods if you’re local – contact the Localecopia group at info@localecopia.org

We are fortunate that Localecopia is bringing together the numerous agricultural communities and businesses that exist practially in our back yards. As consumers, we can support these businesses by puchasing their products whenever possible. Thank you Localecopia for helping us to learn about these clever and talented entrepreneurs.
