Let Them Eat Cake – Royal Wedding Style – at Boca Town Center Today

Passion for Pastry's (Almost) Royal Wedding Cake

Just can’t get enough of the royal wedding? The Passion for Pastry shop at Town Center at Boca Raton is providing a wedding cake “fit for a king” to shoppers in honor of the just-wed Prince William and Catherine Middleton – now Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The five-foot-tall showpiece, made of alternating cake and chocolate mousse layers, was created by executive pastry chef Alethea Hickman of Passion for Pastry. It features a white, cream and gold color scheme, accented with English roses made from sugar work. (It, or one like it, can be yours for around $2600.)

While the happy royal couple whizzes off to their undisclosed honeymoon haven, shoppers at Boca’s Town Center can have a free slice of cake – from 2-4 p.m. The chef has created samples of other cakes for shoppers, to allow the display cake to remain intact. Cake will be served (first-come, first served) in the Bloomingdale’s wing of the mall.
